Broncolor Para 220 on Industrial Location Photo Shoot-2

Broncolor Para 220 on Industrial Location Photo Shoot-2 Video Clips. Duration : 2.30 Mins.

With this project, basically an 8 foot stainless steel cube the Para 220 worked better than expected. As I was able to position the light above the machine, which is important. The Para 220 is positioned so that light falls both on the front and side. White paper reflects light back into the reflective stainless and hiding the rest of the facility, making a smooth even surface. I've mentioned in my first video that I usually need 5 lights or more to light these machines. However in this case just the Para 220 was used. AND get this. I was only pumping 2400 watts thru it and I maintained F16! Incredible output. The client was happy that set-up time was cut and light quality on the machine was high. I would have made the video longer but with this client using their time for my purpose is not wise. I used a Sinar x 4x5 with a Schnieder 58mm lens. I currently use speedotron packs because they take the abuse of location work better, but might switch to Broncolor later. I'm still working to see what capability the Para lights offer with my industrial work. At thsi time though my feelings are the same. The Para lights offer benefits but have to be cared for every minute. I can't be quick to set-up or break down. These lights are too expensive. I am workign to build a stand that will hold two Para 170 lights. That will be used for larger more horizontal machines. I have yet to find a way to position Paras high enough for tall machines like in my first video.
